Rénover votre balcon en bois
Votre balcon a piètre allure? Il porte certainement les marques des dommages engendrés par l’humidité tels que des planches éclatées, tordues ou décolorées.
Pour éviter que cette situation ne se reproduise, appliquez un scellant chaque année ou au moins aux deux ans.
Pour sceller le bois, un produit nettoyant et éclaircissant est de mise. Il ne suffit que de l’appliquer en frottant pour éliminer les imperfections telles que les taches et les marques de saleté accumulées.
Pour que le produit agisse à sa pleine capacité, attendez environ 15 minutes et rincez à l’aide d’une machine à pression.
Faut-il remplacer les planches abîmées? Et bien tout cela dépend de leur état. Dans la mesure du possible, essayez de les conserver, car une nouvelle planche aura tendance à détonner avec le reste du balcon et cela peut être agaçant à l’œil. Seulement si c’est vraiment nécessaire, remplacez-les.

La rénovation d’un balcon en béton ou en pierre
Pour votre balcon en béton ou en pierre, portez attention à la présence de miettes, de fissures ou de nids d’abeilles ainsi qu’aux signes de corrosion sur les garde-corps, les mains courantes ou les poteaux de garde-corps.
Comme mentionné dans notre article sur la réparation des balcons, utilisez un mortier de réparation qui soit approprié aux correctifs à apporter. Ainsi, un béton de ciment doit être utilisé pour effectuer une réparation à travers la dalle tandis qu’un béton modifié aux polymères doit être employé pour les retouches esthétiques.
Dans un second temps, assurez-vous que votre balcon respecte toujours les normes de votre municipalité, faute de quoi vous pourriez être obligé d’effectuer les modifications requises rapidement.
